About ISHIB/Mission
Our mission is to improve the health and life expectancy of ethnic minorities and eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities in cardiovascular disease through professional and public education, targeted clinical research, and facilitation of the delivery of higher quality cardiovascular health care.
Goals and Objectives
ISHIB’s organizational scope includes hypertension, diabetes, stroke, lipid disorders, renal disease, heart failure, stroke, kidney disease, obesity and other related cardiovascular diseases. The Society focuses on these goals:
Promote public awareness of the harmful effects of hypertension, especially among ethnic populations; Develop health-related programs to improve the quality of life in ethnic populations worldwide; Educate the public on ways to prevent the complications of hypertension and other related cardiovascular diseases; Stimulate research and clinical investigation; and Disseminate scientific findings to aid in the understanding of differences in hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases among ethnic populations.
